Great analogy. I never thought about it that way.

I am a Canadian blogger and I choose to disclose. I do it because as a consumer and reader of other blogs, I appreciate it when others do too.

I do not judge why others don’t. However, sometimes I am left scratching my head.

I find Site wide disclosure ineffective. You can’t look for something that you don’t know exists.

I agree I do put disclosures on almost every post – there is the odd one I have forgotten. I like seeing the disclosures on blogs. Make me feel like they are being open and honest. That said, I do not feel like when posts are sponsored it changes the opinion of the writer. However I appreciate the openness of disclosure on a personal blog where at times it can be difficult to tell if there was compensation for a post or not.
