One of the benefits of living in this day and age is the ability to try out new foods. As an example, Mexican food has become a very main stream part of the Western diet. After tacos and burritos, I would like to thank to thank my southern neighbours for guacamole. Very specifically, for Wholly Guacamole.
Beanitos come in four varieties. Black bean (regular and chipotle BBQ) and Pinto Bean and Flax Seed (regular and cheddar cheese). Wholly guacamole comes in both a regular and spicy version, but two sizes – regular serving size and individual, 100 calorie lunch size pouches. One of the greatest things about these products? They are all entirely gluten free, non-GMO, and preservative free!
The original guacamole is smooth and creamy, with just enough bite to it. The spicy is just that – hold on your hats. Of the four flavours of chips, my personal favourite with the regular black bean. Again, I found the chipotle BBQ too nippy for my taste, although Goose tells me they were delicious.
If you are looking for Wholly Guacamole in your local grocery store, you might not find it with the ‘other’ guacamoles and dips. In my local stores, it is kept near the bagged salads and refrigerated salad dressings. Check here for a list of stores that carry it.
The good people over at Wholly Guacamole and Beanitos have done all sorts of fancy research explaining why these chips are way better for you than your standard greasy potato chip. And the guacamole? Loaded with all kinds of good stuff, too.
